MKE: IRL is here to change that. We’re creating a space where people can share the spots in Milwaukee that bring them joy – a glowing sunset, a cozy café, the perfect picnic patch, a beautiful old tree, or even a dog that made your day. 

We want to encourage people to take photos and videos of these little moments. Whether it’s a meal you loved, a concert that moved you, or a peaceful park bench, capturing these memories gives them life beyond the moment. When we share these snapshots, we invite others into our world – building connection, nostalgia, and community. From birthday parties to surprise proposals to spontaneous nights out, these memories deserve to be celebrated and remembered. 

Our generation knows social media better than anyone – it’s how we stay in touch, express ourselves, and find each other. But there’s often a stigma around documenting our lives. Critics say we’re too focused on the screen, that reaching for our phones to snap a photo is problematic, that we’re not living in the moment. We believe the opposite: by capturing and sharing these experiences, we’re not only living them, we’re preserving and honoring them.
